Chinese style blackening seasoning

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp 5 spice powder
  • 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns freshly ground
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds white, black or mixed, ground
  • 2 tsp fine sea salt
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp ground ginger

Instructions
 

  • Grind the peppercorns and sesame seeds separately with a mortar and pestle; or for a smoother blended result, put all the ingredients into a spice grinder and grind well together.
